Day 01 : Kolkata - Bagdogra - Darjeeling
Arrive Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) and transfer to the airport for flight
afternoon flight to Bagdogra. Here you will be met and drive to Darjeeling,
the quintessential hill station famous for its eponymous variety of tea. In
the evening you are free to walk on Mall Road and soak up the atmosphere of
this historic town. Overnight in Darjeeling.
Day 02 : Darjeeling
Early morning visit the Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over the
Himalayan ranges- a majestic sight. This is followed by a visit to Ghoom
Monastery & Batasia. After breakfast visit Tea Garden, Himalayan
Mountaineering Training Institute and the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre.
Overnight in Darjeeling.
Day 03 : Darjeeling - Kalimpong
Take the short drive to Kalimpong; visit Dello Hills, Dr Graham's Home,
Flower Nurseries, Jang - Dongpalriffo Brang, Gouripur House and Durbin Dara
Hills. Overnight in Kalimpong.
Day 04 : Kalimpong - Gangtok
Drive to Gangtok in Sikkim state, (3-4 hrs drive), with the evening free to
explore the fascinating bazaar on MG Road. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 05 : Gangtok
Sightseeing of Gangtok covering Tashiview Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok,
Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Choten, Flower Show, Cottage Industries,
Enchey Monastery, Rumtek Monastery, and the Botanical Garden. Overnight in
Gangtok.
Day 06 : Gangtok
Day Excursion to Tsongu Lake (also known as Changu or Tsomgo Lake),This
lake is 3720 metres above sea level and set in an area of spectacular scenic
beauty. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 07 : Gangtok - Bagdogra - Delhi
Drive to Bagdogra and fly to Delhi mid afternoon. This is a 2 hour flight.
Upon arrival you will met and transferred to your hotel. This evening is
free to explore India's National capital. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 08 : Delhi - Agra
After breakfast drive 4hrs to Agra and later visit Agra Fort, Overnight in
Agra.
Day 09 : Agra - Jaipur
The best time of day visit the Taj Mahal is at dawn as the early morning
sun produces an awe-inspiring array of changing colours on the marble faces
of this magnificent edifice. This is a sight which will live in the memory
for ever. Return to your hotel for breakfast and then drive 1hr to the
deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. This is a masterpiece of design and
construction- a wondrous creation in sandstone. Continue onto Jaipur. This
evening is free to explore the bustling capital of Rajasthan, and the
bazaars within the walled pink city. Overnight in Jaipur.
