Day 01 : Arrive Cochin
Upon arrival in Cochin you will be met and transferred to your hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure to relax and acclimatise, and overnight in Cochin.

Day 02 : Cochin
Today you can take a sightseeing tour of Fort Cochin, Jewtown and the Chinese Fishing Nets, followed by an evening performance of traditional Keralan Kathakali dance, presented by professional dancers in an air-conditioned auditorium. Overnight in Cochin.

Day 03 : Cochin - Calicut
After breakfast, drive 4 hours to Beypore where you can visit a weaving centre and the traditional Uru boatbuilding yards. Overnight at Kappad Beach, near to Calicut.

Day 04 : Calicut - Wayanad
Drive 2hrs up into the hills of the Wyanad District. Check into your hotel and go for a short stroll to see the sunset over an almost endless vista of tea plantations. Overnight at Wyanad.

Day 05 : Wayanad
Half day jeep safari Eddakkal Caves, a remarkably well preserved example of 10000 year old rock carvings set high in the Western Ghats, dating back over 3000yrs. Return in the afternoon to enjoy further walks around your resort or visit the some of the small but thriving market towns in the district. Overnight at Wyanad.

Day 06 : Wayanad
Full day excursion by jeep. You have the option of trekking up one of the many peaks in the area, exploring a large riverine island, or visiting the Tholpetty Sanctuary where animal sightings are good. Overnight at Wyanad.

Day 07 : Wyanad - Mudamalai
After breakfast drive to Mudamalai Sanctuary and check into the Tree House in a private reserve near to the sanctuary. Here you can discuss the programme for the next two days with the resident naturalist who will design a package of treks and/or jeep safaris depending on your interests and how much walking you wish to do. Of course, if you would prefer to simply enjoy the surroundings and fabulous views of the mountains, you are most welcome to do so! Overnight at Mudamalai.

Days 08 & 09 : Mudamalai
Various options for trekking for a few hours up to a full day, and/or jeep safaris. In either instance you will be accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. Overnight at Mudamalai.

Day 10 : Mudamalai - Ooty - Coonoor
After breakfast drive 2hrs to Ooty and visit the Botanical Gardens. Later, take the mountain railway to Coonoor, a former British hill station set amidst tea plantations and steep valleys. Overnight in Coonoor.

Day 11 : Coonoor
Full day trekking around Coonoor with a guide or a full day excursion by car to nearby sights such as Sim's Park, Dolphin's Nose viewpoint and a tea factory. Overnight in Coonoor.

Day 12 : Coonoor - Dindigul
Drive down the Ghats road past Coimbatore, on to Dindigul, reaching Cardamom House, a tranquil retreat under the lea of the Western Ghats which will be your base for the next two nights. A delightfully informal place, there are many special things about the location- there is a fantastic variety of bird species around the shores of the lake, more opportunities for trekking and exploration, and fantastic food cooked with real attention and care. Overnight at Cardamom House.

Day 13 : Cardamom House, near Atholl

A day to use at your discretion, as energetically or lethargically as you please. Over night at Cardamom House.

Day 14 : Cardamom House - Madurai - Chennai
After breakfast, drive 90 minutes to Madurai, to connect to your flight to Chennai mid afternoon. Upon arrival in Chennai, transfer to your international flight for the trip home.
