Day 05 : Bharatpur - Jaipur|
Day 09 : Mumbai- Bangalore Transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangalore, where our representative will meet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. Bangalore is the hub of India's booming IT industry and this merges with a colourful past to create one of India's most compelling cities. You are free to explore the city this afternoon or just relax and acclimatize. Overnight in Bangalore. ![]() Day 10 : Bangalore Enjoy a full day tour of Bangalore, a city as rich in history as it is in modernity. Overnight in Bangalore. Day 11 : Bangalore- Mysore After breakfast take the 140km, 3 hours drive to Mysore, a relaxed city with a laid back feeling, a rich history and delightful parks. In the afternoon visit the Mysore Palace and head up into the Chamundi hills which loom over the city and house the Brindavan Gardens Overnight in Mysore. Day 12 : Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore Today you will make a full Day excursion to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, situated on the banks of the Kaveri (Cauvery) River. There is a wide variety of birdlife here including storks, herons, cormorants, egrets, darters, kingfishers and other water birds. Crocodiles and otters also live in the water surrounding the six islets that comprise the sanctuary. There is an option to take a boat ride down the Kaveri River to see the native and migratory birds nesting and feeding in the sanctuary. Return to Mysore for overnight stay. Day 13 : Mysore - Nagarhole Drive 95Km, 3 hours to Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary. This sanctuary has lush vegetation, a wide variety of fauna and a sense of remoteness making it one of the best places for the keen wildlife enthusiast to visit in South India. Take an evening stroll around the lodge and soak up the atmosphere. Day 14 : Nagarhole Today you will have a full day for game viewing game viewing in Nagarhole. Among the large mammals living in the park are gaur, (Indian bison, the world's largest cattle species), various deer including sambar and chital, elephants, leopards and tigers. There is also an abundance of monkeys, squirrels and many species of birds including the magnificent hornbill. Having the time to explore and absorb the surroundings adds a lot to the experience of being in one of India's truly wild places. Overnight at Nagarhole. Day 15 : Nagarhole - Bandipur Driving east from Nagarhole, you will travel to Bandipur National Park, which has a quite different feel to Nagarhole despite being only 50km or so away. The vegetation here is more scrub forest which in fact affords better chances to spot animals as the density of the foliage is not so great. There is a population of sloth bears in the park, as well as the species found in Nagarhole. Stay overnight at the forest lodge. Day
16 : BandipurToday you can enjoy a full day in the park and try your luck spotting animals and looking out for the signs of habitation that your guide will help you to spot. A stray porcupine quill, a tiger's nest, the signs of bears fossicking for termites- these and many more may be spotted upon close observation. Day 17 : Bandipur - Ooty This morning drive to Ooty, a former British Hill Station high in the Western Ghats on the Tamil Nadu side of the state line. The drive is picturesque with views to the plains below and emerging glimpses of tea plantations as the road climbs ever higher. There will be time for a visit to the botanical gardens and an evening to relax and enjoy the views. Overnight in Ooty. Day 18 : Ooty Today you can make a full day excursion to a Toda Tribal village, a tribal people whose way of life has remained largely unchanged for generations, or take the chance to relax in the pleasant and cooler surroundings of Ooty or nearby Coonoor, another former British Hill Station. Overnight in Ooty. Day 19 : Ooty - Bangalore Drive back to Bangalore to board the flight to your onward destination.
