Day 01 : Arrive Bangalore
On arrival in Bangalore, our representative will meet you and assist with
the transfer to your hotel. Bangalore is the hub of India's booming IT
industry and this merges with a colourful past to create one of India's most
compelling cities. You are free to explore the city this afternoon or just
relax and acclimatize. Overnight in Bangalore.
Day 02 : Bangalore - Mysore
After breakfast take the 140km, 3 hours drive to Mysore, a relaxed city
with a laid back feeling, a rich history and delightful parks. In the
afternoon visit the Mysore Palace and head up into the Chamundi hills which
loom over the city and house the Brindavan Gardens Overnight in Mysore.
Day 03 : Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore
Today you will make a full Day excursion to Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary,
situated on the banks of the Kaveri (Cauvery) River. There is a wide variety
of birdlife here including storks, herons, cormorants, egrets, darters,
kingfishers and other water birds. Crocodiles and otters also live in the
water surrounding the six islets that comprise the sanctuary. There is an
option to take a boat ride down the Kaveri River to see the native and
migratory birds nesting and feeding in the sanctuary. Visit the Garden
Palace of Tipu Sultan at Srirangapatanam. Return to Mysore for overnight
stay.
Day 04 : Mysore - Nagarhole
Drive 95Km, 3 hours to Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary. This sanctuary has
lush vegetation, a wide variety of fauna and a sense of remoteness making it
one of the best places for the keen wildlife enthusiast to visit in South
India. Take an evening stroll around the lodge and soak up the atmosphere.
Day 05 : Nagarhole

Today you will have a full day for game viewing game viewing in Nagarhole.
Among the large mammals living in the park are gaur, (Indian bison, the
world's largest cattle species), various deer including sambar and chital,
elephants, leopards and tigers. There is also an abundance of monkeys,
squirrels and many species of birds including the magnificent hornbill.
Having the time to explore and absorb the surroundings adds a lot to the
experience of being in one of India's truly wild places. Overnight at
Nagarhole.
Day 06 : Nagarhole - Bandipur
Driving east from Nagarhole, you will travel to Bandipur National Park,
which has a quite different feel to Nagarhole despite being only 50km or so
away. The vegetation here is more scrub forest which in fact affords better
chances to spot animals as the density of the foliage is not so great. There
is a population of sloth bears in the park, as well as the species found in
Nagarhole. Stay overnight at the forest lodge.
Day 07 : Bandipur
Today you can enjoy a full day in the park and try your luck spotting
animals and looking out for the signs of habitation that your guide will
help you to spot. A stray porcupine quill, a tiger's nest, the signs of
bears fossicking for termites- these and many more may be spotted upon close
observation.
